Looking With Fresh Eyes

As we move into the new year, many of us continue to ride that wave of excitement for starting anew. I know that I continue to be excited for the upcoming year and all the good things it will bring. Often, we don't have to begin anew from ground zero, but merely look at what is already in place with fresh eyes. Perspective is the difference between happiness and discontent. Looking around us and seeing the possibility in the here and now can make a world of difference in how we approach life, other people, and our world. 

When I look at our products, I get very excited about all the possibilities a new year holds. However, rather than reinventing the wheel, it is sometimes best to look at what already works and build on it. I like to say we put tired, unpopular products to bed. By this, I mean I'm just tucking them away for a while; I'm not writing them off for good. I may revisit them later; they may gain popularity again, or they may be timeless enough to become a classic. 

I will share that our peppermint soap and moisturizer have been put to bed. Although I love peppermint for my legs and feet, especially in the summertime, it was time for peppermint to have a rest. Rather than delete peppermint, I looked at it with fresh eyes and gave it a makeover. In a few weeks, our new Mint To Be products will debut, and I hope you are as happy with them as I. 

I am doing the same thing with our main bathroom. Initially, I believed I would only be satisfied with a complete gut and remodel of the space. However, after much negotiation with one nay-saying, change-hating, refuses-to-be-inconvenienced-for-beauty's-sake, bib overall-wearing, wonder-buns, I looked at the space with fresh eyes. Everything works; a lot of it I intended to keep, but now, I feel I can make it all work and look lovely. Now, it's just a cosmetic overhaul rather than a complete gut job, which is much easier to handle on my own. 

One of my many intentions for 2026 is to make what is already in place work for us to its highest potential. It's time to work smarter, not harder. I am excited to share that my vision for our farm is becoming a reality. I'm just giving you a teaser now, but exciting things are falling into place. Now, if I can refrain from overwhelming my husband, all will be right in my world.
