Shaker Woods Bound

Ready or not, dear reader, this Saturday is the opening day for the Shaker Woods Festival. It boggles my mind that we are now into August. The Bean and I will be manning the booth in the woods. The Bibbed Wonder will be holding down the fort at the farm. At this point, we run August like a well-oiled machine. We divide and conquer, and it works well.
This is the first year I have not bought us new outfits for Shaker Woods. We have quite the selection of unfashionable dresses, skirts, and blouses to choose from. I anticipate us doing a lot of mixing and matching. However, The Bibbed Wonder never changes things up. He has his Shaker uniform, and he likes it. Now, The Bean, on the other hand, doesn't like anything about the clothes for Shaker Woods. Each and every year, it is an extensive conversation about what is appropriate for Shaker Woods and what is not.
Working The Shaker Woods Festival with The Bean is like being on a girls' weekend. The Bean and I work well together. We are both very laid back, relaxed, take our time, and we don't really stress about a lot. We simply make it work and roll with it. In the evenings, we go out to dinner with our favorite friend, Tricia. We shop, get ready for back-to-school, and then shop some more. When we go back to the hotel, we simply enjoy a quiet evening without any fuss. It's quite delightful. Hanging out with my daughter is one of my favorite things to do.
We will go out to the woods on Friday morning, set up our booth, make sure everything is in order for a successful show, and then we will go shopping. I will be taking a break from writing blogs on Fridays and Mondays for the month. This week will be a mixture of getting ready for Shaker Woods and preparing for the sunflower events. My little brain feels a little overwhelmed. However, we will do what we always do. Work as a team and get things done. We have a very good team in place.
On this first Monday in August, stay safe, be smart, come see us in the woods this Saturday, and keep washing your hands.

Looking forward to seeing you and stopping by the booth at Shaker Woods this year!! I fell in love with your soap 4 years ago and year after year have continually purchased from you. It is in my opinion by far the best goat milk soap I have ever tried olive that the ingredients are pure and simple and the fragrances are phenomenal and long lasting. I can’t say enough about your soap! Thank you for all you and your family do. I wish only the best for you and yours!
I try to buy enough soap to last the year and I came up short this past year so please be sure to have enough back ups lol! Also will you be selling any specialty soaps such as marshmallow soaps this year? Until we meet again, God bless!
