Starting From Scratch

I have finally made a decision, dear reader, and some of you will be disappointed. However, with the turn of events, I don't know what else to do. Our little fragrance company is not up and running. I feel as if my hands are tied. I have decided that, rather than trying to replicate your favorites and risk disappointing you, I will start from scratch. Sigh. Some of your best-loved scents will be retired at least until Sweet Cakes is back in production. This means that Cream and Berry Bliss, Fairy Tale, Orange Sandalwood, Orange Blossom and Honey, Manly Man, and Tea Tree and Eucalyptus will go on what I hope is a hiatus. It also means that most of your favorite seasonal scents will not return. Sigh.
As for our regular inventory, I have not decided what will replace the ones we are losing. Again, I have kicked this can down the road until I am forced to consider my options. To be transparent, I haven't allowed myself to give this much consideration because I am holding onto hope that our beloved little fragrance company will return. At this point, I am open to ideas. If you are so inclined, share what you would like to see added on a full-time basis. Nothing is off the table.
I am now focusing on fall seasonal scents because fall seasonals are something I can wrap my head around. I have a few ideas I am playing around with and am getting excited about. My head is in autumn even though summer has just begun. I always feel like I am a season ahead, and when the season arrives, I am over it. I must be transparent; I am feeling a bit stuck with my creativity. I am genuinely struggling without my trusted, reliable fragrance company. It feels like a never-ending search to find scents that meet my strict criteria, are unique, and are of the highest quality. The search continues in earnest now, as I have come to realize that yet another entity I have relied on for our business may no longer exist.
It is indeed a year of great change, dear reader. I will keep you posted as decisions are made, inventories run low, and scents are settled upon. I'm sorry to disappoint. However, change is good; we will find new scents we love, and all will be well. On this lovely Thursday, stay safe, be smart, now is the time to weigh in on scents you would like to see included, and keep washing your hands.

Lifting you all in prayer and backing up the whole change in direction is just God’s way of opening new doors that we may never have on our own, for bigger better things He has in store for us…(I need to remind myself of this…) We order our soaps, sort of our regular scents, so I’m not sure if you’ve ever done a scent like this before….so forgive me if I missed it, but what about pumpkin apple? I have a favorite candle in that scent, and I’ll mix wax melts together to achieve that scent, but the difference between most who do that is everyone always wants to add too much cinnamon… there’s something about a pumpkin and warm apple smell that merrys, marrys?…marries?? Whatever, blends beautifully together… :) love, prayers and hugs ❤️💯🙏
I agree that change is not easy, especially as we get older, but it often opens the window for better things!
Change is so hard. I have no doubt you guys will come up with some fantastic new scents. And the ideas will come to you when you aren’t even thinking about it. 😊Love the ideas so far. Will you be bringing back Fields of Gold? Some ideas to get your brain spinning: something with lemon (warm not kitcheny), a warm coffee scent (like a brown sugar latte in a bar), Pistachio, amber, lavender rosemary shampoo in a soap. I realize you are thinking about autumn, but I would love for summer something that smells like new mown hay. But I’m sure you’ll find some great autumn scents too.

You hit the nail on the head.As like you it has been a year of change for our household as for many of my friends and family.😔 I do agree we have to pull ourselves up, not wallow and go on and adapt. I’m sure you will do good, you all do. Sending a hug.🤗( A scent idea. Newly mowed field of hay in the summer? How it smells after a spring rain? You know, how fresh and clean . just off the top of my head the scents that make me smile,)
