Sunflowers, Silence, and Splendor: A Luxury Literary Escape

Sunflowers, Silence, and Splendor: A Luxury Literary Escape

What could be better than books, sunflowers, and a picnic? On September 2nd, from 6 PM until 8 PM, you can join me at the farm for a silent book club. Silent book clubs are the new trend in book clubs. People gather together, sit in companionable silence, and read. Some choose to socialize, some share what they are reading, and some enjoy being in the company of other readers and their books. This is a new idea for my very chatty self, but I think it's cool.

Escape the sunflowers with your favorite book. I'm inviting you to join me in the sunflowers for my first silent book club. You bring your favorite book or e-reader, your most comfortable chair or blanket, and I provide you with a swag bag of quiet snacks, an exclusive sunflower soap and moisturizer, an event t-shirt, and reading-related gifts. Boxed treats, both sweet and savory, will be provided in adorable little picnic boxes, and we will have a variety of mocktails for you to enjoy throughout the evening.

You may come 45 minutes early to check in, enjoy the company of like-minded readers, find your cozy reading spot, and then peruse the blind date with a book section. You may also take this time to create a personal bookmark. A bell will toll when the silent reading begins. Once the hour of reading is complete, you and your fellow readers have private access to the maze. Enjoy a magical evening of reading in the sunflowers during the peak golden hour.

I gently encourage you to gather your friends, bring your book club, go on a date, or come alone to enjoy some uninterrupted peace if that is what you seek. I welcome you all.

The event is valued at approximately $125. Tickets are $65. You may purchase tickets on Eventbrite.

The Bean and I look forward to welcoming you to our farm for a night of silent splendor and reading. It's combining all of our favorite things. We hope you can join us.

On this warm August Thursday, stay safe, be smart, join us for our silent reading book club in the sunflowers, and keep washing your hands.
