Tuesday Spotlight: Fairytale

Happy Tuesday, dear reader. This week's spotlight shines on The Bean's creation, Fairytale. Who doesn't love a good fairytale? When I was a kid, I adored reading fairy tales. My absolute favorite fairy tale was The White Cat. It is not a well-known story, but it was a wonderful tale about a kingdom of cats that helped a young prince win his father's throne. It was the longest story in my book of fairy tales, and it would take my dad multiple evenings to read it to me before bed. When I am not feeling well—or, if I'm honest, sometimes I'm just bored—I will pull out my book of fairy tales and re-read it. It brings me great comfort. 

Comfort is the word that comes to mind to describe our soap, Fairytale. Fairytale is a soft blend of raspberry and baby powder. It is soft, fresh, a bit sparkly, and comforting. Comforting is precisely what The Bean had in mind when she designed this soap. I have always been almost militant about a bedtime routine, especially when The Bean was little. At precisely seven o'clock, we did bath time, then a bedtime story, then a bottle or sippy cup of warm milk, which led into an hour of snuggling with classical music playing softly in the background. I adored our bedtime routine, and to this day, The Bean still showers before bed, has a warm drink, comes in to talk with me or read quietly with me for a half hour or so, and then she goes to bed. I hope every child, and for that matter, mother, has the same safe, comforting experience before they close their eyes on the day. I would like to believe our soap may play a small role in providing that comfort to little ones and their mamas.
