Another One For The Books

This Saturday, we close one more chapter on another year at Ligonier Country Market. It is hard to believe that market season 2021 is almost over. It has been another unusual year from years past, but it has been wonderful nonetheless. Our market family continues to grow, evolve, and change. We have made new friends with our neighbors, and it is always good to enjoy those you work with every week. We have gained an appreciation for various talents and skills, like pen making, macrame, and gardening. When I walk through the market, I gaze wonderingly at all the talented people accumulated in one place. I feel honored to be included in such a talented group.

Our soap family continues to grow as well. It is always rewarding and refreshing to receive positive feedback for our products, my blog, and our products’ impact on improving people’s lives. Although I enjoy the soaping process, the creative process, and the research in creating new products, our soap family makes what we do worthwhile. I love meeting people in person after seeing their names pop up for online orders. It is always good to be able to put a face to a name. Although my capacity to remember names and faces seems to wane when I suffer from brain fog… sigh. I love to meet and interact with people in person. Please, always introduce yourself to us if you are meeting us for the first time. It’s nice to know simple things like Jill loves patchouli, Bobbi enjoys the milk and honey, and Karen buys for orphans in Africa. Knowing a part of your story makes you feel like family.

As we continue on this journey, we feel grateful and appreciative that each year at the market gets better and better. Ligonier Country Market is such an integral part of our lives both from a business and personal aspects. We have met so many talented, experienced fellow entrepreneurs. I am always amazed at the willingness to share advice and information. People genuinely want to help us and see us succeed. It is such a positive experience and sets a high standard.

This weekend, The Harvest Market is the final market for the season and is sure to be a good one. The weather will be perfect; the vendors will have beautiful wares, and it is one last opportunity to see us in person at the market. We will have our fall scents on hand, a smile on our faces, and I’m sure The Bibbed Wonder and The Bean will be entertaining. As always, dear reader, stay safe, be smart, come out and enjoy the last market for the season, and keep washing your hands.
