I know it feels like summer is just beginning, but we are already looking ahead to fall here on the farm. The last two summer seasonal soaps are completed and on the drying rack. Cream and Berry Bliss will be released in just a few weeks, and soon to follow will be Orange Blossom and Honey. These two scents are popular with our soap family, and I can’t wait to share them. However, I feel like fall is my time to shine. I am very excited about our fall scents this year. Pumpkin Sandalwood will be returning, and I am thrilled to announce that we will make a few limited-edition pumpkin-themed products. It’s finally happening, dear reader. I am wearing down one bib overall, wearing nay-sayer, and he is saying yay more than nay these days. Sigh, it’s only taken me twenty years.
Along with Pumpkin Sandalwood, we will have a lineup of new and delicious scents for the autumnal season. Think pomegranates, cranberries, apples, pears, and falling leaves. I’m adding new notes to our popular Sweater Weather and introducing a fresh scent reminiscent of cozy flannel and autumn sunshine. I love blending new scents. We also have a few new swirling techniques to try, and I have a few fun ideas for seasonal soap tops. I hope you are as excited as I am for the fall.
Along with our fall line of products, we are planning our fall event here at the farm. I am thrilled to have several new vendors, and the Hot Ash Pizza food truck will join us. Sit and Stay Café will be here with delicious coffee and seasonal drinks. Of course, my dear friend Julia will be here with Aunt Julia’s Donuts. We are also adding children’s activities, photo ops, and my children’s book is on target to be published in time for our event. Little Lester will make his first public appearance and be available for autographs and book signings. Add Saturday, October 7th, to your calendar. We will welcome you to our farm from 9-1 and look forward to seeing you. Our events here at the farm are my absolute favorite events of the year. Welcoming you to the place I love makes my heart happy.
Although I am not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, I genuinely look forward to the fall and all it will bring. We will continue to enjoy the warm weather, long days, summer sun, thunderstorms, fireflies, bonfires, and campouts. We will relish our summer products and summer scents; it’s hard not to love a mermaid-themed soap. However, looking forward to pumpkins, colorful leaves, cooler temperatures, sweaters, boots, and scarves gives me a certain thrill. I love having something to look forward to.
On this overcast July day, stay safe, be smart, make sure you have something to look forward to, save the date October 7th from 9-1 for our fall event, and keep washing your hands.
