The Gift of Health

I believe the best gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you. – Joyce Meyer

As busy parents, spouse, provider it is very easy to let our health and well-being slide. It is easier to let symptoms disappear on their own or put our needs off to another day because we don’t have time to go to the doctor or take a nap or recharge our batteries. For many of us, being healthful is not a priority. We tend to be reactive rather than proactive. However, the reality is that if we would just put a bit more emphasis on our own well-being, our children, spouses and employers/companies would greatly benefit.

Making healthful choices can be difficult in the age of convenience and easy access. By making simple daily changes we can make a huge impact on our health. Reach for a natural snack that requires no packaging or preservatives and use more natural products on our bodies can greatly impact our overall health. Our skin is our largest organ. It is becoming more common in the medical world for medicines to be dispensed using our skin as the delivery method. It takes a mere 30 seconds for materials placed on our skin to be absorbed into our bodies. Have you ever considered what is in the products you use on you and your family on a daily basis? Chances are if you are on this site you have! The reality is, most of the soaps found on store shelves today are filled with petroleum byproducts, detergents, chemicals to give the illusion of beneficial characteristics such as high foam, dense bubbles, and strong fragrance. In truth, these ingredients are stripping your skin of beneficial oils and nutrients and placing cancer causing agents onto your largest most sensitive organ.

Again, I ask that you arm yourself with information. Research the ingredients in your products and understand the impact they may have on your health. Once you are informed, it is easy and simple to make informed decisions. Find a company that uses only natural products and don’t be afraid to shop around. You may not love the first product you try but chances are there is a small company out there who uses integrity, care and concern for their customer’s well-being to create high quality natural products.

This is not a plug to buy my products (however, I do make high quality, natural products using milk from very well loved, happy goats!) All I ask is that you take the time to educate yourself and be just a bit more health conscience for you and your loved ones.

As always, stay safe, stay smart, arm yourself with information, and wash your hands.
