Happy Monday, dear reader! This weekend, we had a unique opportunity to spend a few hours at The Philly Street Candle Bar right here in Indiana, Pa. We were invited to do a pop-up on Small Business Saturday, and what a wonderful experience it was. I have never been to a candle bar before, and I was fascinated with the process. Andrea, the owner of the candle bar, and her staff were terrific. Someone greeted each individual as they entered, offered them a small clipboard, and then invited them to the candle wall to explore all the different scents they had to offer. Once the individual selected three to four scents they liked, they were then escorted to the bar, where they were assisted in creating their own unique blend and candle.
It was bustling, and we saw people from 5 to 75 working to make their candles and scent. People came in in small groups or couples, and they all seemed to enjoy themselves immensely. The bar itself is beautiful. It has a corrugated tin ceiling with bohemian banners hanging, mason jar lighting, and small groupings of tables and chairs. The bar has a very positive energy about it, and it has a bohemian/industrial feel. I was very impressed just watching Andrea, her family, and the staff. They were all personable, welcoming, and happy to assist. The Philly Street Candle Bar can accommodate small groups or is intimate enough to have a fun date. I highly recommend spending a few hours and enjoying the process.
We were able to see some of our favorite soap family members, and we appreciate all the support and love shown to us. Overall, it was a fantastic way to spend a few hours and a very positive experience. We are incredibly grateful to Andrea, her family, and staff for including us and making us feel welcome.
