Tuesday Spotlight: All Soaps with Oatmeal

With the end of summer in sight, it is time to face the issues of transitional skin. Here in south western Pennsylvania, we go from warm and humid moisture filled weather to cold, dry weather in a short period of time. To help ease this transition, we are offering all things oatmeal as our Tuesday Spotlight.

Colloidal oatmeal is a wonderful, gentle exfoliant. Gently sloughing off the dead dry skin created by time in the sun and changes in air moisture. With the daily use of products with colloidal oatmeal, one will notice a quick reaction of softening, moisture replacement, and perhaps aid in itching. I use any of our soaps with colloidal oatmeal when my beans seasonal eczema begins to flare. I also use it when I notice my legs becoming dry and itchy as the winter progresses.

When talking about the benefits of colloidal oatmeal, it must be pointed out that oats are full of beta-glucans which can aide in reducing inflammation and stimulate collagen production. Studies have shown that colloidal oatmeal actually bonds to the skin creating a protective barrier and aiding in the healing of distressed skin. We only use organic, non-GMO oatmeal in our products.

Our oatmeal soaps include, the simple unscented Goats and Oats, Milk, Honey and Oatmeal soap, as well as Lavender and Oatmeal soap…my personal favorite. As always, the Tuesday Spotlight is 50% off on the website. The special will also be offered at the Ligonier and Murrysville markets this week only. You are welcome to preorder online for either market. Simply, order, pay, and make note of which market you would like to attend and we will pre-pack your order and have it ready for pickup this Saturday. It is a good time to stock up on these nourishing, lux bars for the upcoming winter months.

As always dear reader, stay safe, stay smart and keep washing your hands.
