On this sunny March 2nd, we shine our spotlight on all things oatmeal. March is our gateway to springtime. Soon we will see daffodils and crocuses popping their lovely heads up into the sunshine; the days will lengthen and become warm. As temperatures increase, we can shed our winter coats, hats, and scarves and show more skin. March is the time to focus on putting that dry winter skin to bed and prepare for the warmer weather. Soaps with oatmeal additives can be an excellent and gentle way to slough off all that dead, dry, winter skin and prepare our outer dermis for sunshine and short sleeves.
This week, our focus is on all soaps with oatmeal. Lavender with oatmeal is my favorite. I love the scent of lavender as well as its gentle, nourishing properties. Lavender is believed to fight free radicals, have anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties, and can help soothe irritated skin. With the addition of colloidal oatmeal, soap becomes a nutrient-based bar of goodness. Oatmeal acts as an emollient to balance and replenish the oils in the skin. This is why so many with skin disorders find relief when using a soap enriched with oatmeal. Unless you have a gluten allergy, oatmeal soap is a beautiful addition to your daily skincare routine.
We offer three soaps enriched with oatmeal. Our simple, unscented Goats and Oats bar is just pure simplified goodness. I often recommend Goats and Oats to anyone who suffers from poison ivy, eczema, or seasonally dry skin and has sensitivities to scent. Next, we offer a Lavender with Oatmeal bar that is a pure, simple, straightforward bar with lavender oil and oatmeal additions. Lastly, we offer our Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey bar enriched with colloidal oatmeal, local honey, and a heavenly scent. All three bars are 50% off on our website this week.
If you are thinking of sunny days, warm temperatures, and lighter clothing, now is an excellent time to start pampering your tired winter skin. Now is a perfect time to enjoy the discount and give your skin a little TLC. As always, dear reader, stay safe, stay smart, give yourself a little time and attention, and keep washing those hands.
