Tuesday Spotlight: Lemongrass Grapefruit

Today, dear reader, our Tuesday Spotlight is on our Lemongrass Grapefruit soap and moisturizer. If you are a lover of citrus scents, Lemongrass Grapefruit is for you. With cold process soap, it is challenging to get citrus scents such as orange or lemon, to “stick” or last through the high temperatures of the saponification process. When the soap is saponifying or turning all the fats and oils into soap, temperatures can reach 250 degrees or slightly higher. Many citrus essential oils have a flashpoint of 185-195 degrees. This means that the oils will hold up to temperatures of 185 degrees or lower. For this reason, I don’t make a true citrus-scented soap.

Lemongrass essential oil smells wonderful. It’s fresh and citrusy and absolutely lovely. It has a beautiful lasting scent when blended with red grapefruit essential oil. This soap not only smells amazing, but it is also great for your skin as well. It is believed that lemongrass essential oil helps to fight bacteria, fight fungal infections and reduce inflammation. Although I make no medical claims, I know this soap and moisturizer have a bright, uplifting scent that brightens my day. Of course, we use our custom soap recipe, and all the goodness of the milk from my lovely ladies makes a rich, nourishing soap that is excellent for cleansing.

As always, our Tuesday Spotlight is half off on the website for the week. No promo code is needed, and savings will be applied at checkout. This is a good time to try something new, stock up on a fresh summery scent, or treat someone special to a bit of a surprise.

Remember, dear reader, stay safe, be smart, enjoy the savings, and keep washing your hands.
