Today, our spotlight shines upon The Bibbed Wonder's creation, Pine Tar Soap. Eric led this project and developed a goat's milk-based soap with pine tar, neet's foot oil, oatmeal, and poppy seeds. His goal was to create a moisturizing and exfoliating soap, and he utilized the benefits of the age-old ingredient, old-fashioned pine tar.
Pine tar has been used for medicinal purposes for 2000 years. Records dating back to Hippocrates in ancient Greece acknowledge using pine tar for dry, itchy, inflamed skin. Pine tar was also used to preserve and protect ships in Scandinavia. For hundreds of years, pine tar was Sweden's main export. Now, pine tar is manufactured worldwide and used mainly for medicinal purposes. My bib overall-wearing buddy has an interest in old-fashioned home remedies, and using pine tar in soap intrigued him.
The pine tar soap Eric created exceeds expectations. He began with our original moisture-rich soap recipe as his springboard. He then added pure pine tar and neet's foot oil for moisturizing properties and doubled the exfoliation factor by adding both oatmeal and poppy seeds. The soap leaves one's skin feeling soft, supple, and smooth. Each time we wash our hands with our Pine Tar soap, we exclaim, "Oh, this is nice!" We keep a bar of Pine Tar soap at our hand washing station in the soap studio. It's excellent at removing dirt, grime, and oils. This soap would be appreciated if you have someone with hard-working hands in your circle.
Although I make no medical claims, pine tar has been used for centuries to treat eczema and psoriasis. I do know that our pine tar soap leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturized, and exfoliated. If you have been curious about trying our Pine Tar soap but have not, now is a great time to try something new. If you have hard-working hands, skin issues, or overly dry skin, this soap will aid in reconditioning it. I blended a lovely mix of pine, wintergreen, and patchouli essential oils, but the neet's foot oil is the dominant scent. This soap leaves you feeling squeaky clean and soft.
The Pine Tar soap is on special exclusively on the website. No promo code is needed; the savings will be applied at checkout. I highly recommend this moisture-rich, exfoliating soap. On this chilly, winter-like day, stay safe, be smart, enjoy the savings, try our Pine Tar soap, and keep washing your hands.
This would be great after working in the garden, or for any mechanics!
