Welcome Tuesday, once again. In honor of the upcoming day of love, we have decided to make Rose soap and moisturizer our spotlight for the week. Rose is one of the very first scents I worked with when I was in my experimental stage of soap making. It was one of the very first oils I purchased and the first scented soap I created after lavender. It has become a staple of our soap line-up and is well-loved by many.

I am not a fan of rose. I am not a fan of the flower...except the old fashioned, pink, climbing ones that grow around old fences and foundations; they smell divine. That divine scent is the scent of the rose oil I use for my soap and moisturizer. It smells fresh, romantic, and lovely. The scent smells even more stunning in a steaming hot shower.

Although I make no medical claims, rose oil has been used for centuries to help with impurities of the skin. It was believed to aid in healing, smooth the skin's surface, and even skin tone. I do know rose oil smells lovely, and when blended with goat's milk, it creates a wonderful, luxurious soap that nourishes the skin. Rather than give real roses for Valentine's Day, rose soap and moisturizer would be a lovely, longer-lasting, and more affordable alternative. It is ultra-luxurious and thoughtful and won't die in a few days...insert wink.

As always, the Tuesday Spotlight is on sale this week for 50% off on the website. If you haven't tried it and would like to, now is a great time. If ordered in the next few days, it should make it to you before Sunday. Please note, USPS is still inundated with packages, and there have been delays. As always, dear reader, stay safe, stay smart, remember Sunday is Valentine's Day, and keep washing your hands...perhaps with a rose-scented soap for the day of love.
