Looking Ahead

Although we have just finished with the Christmas season and haven’t rung in the new year quite yet, production at The Smiling Goat Soap Company keeps marching on. Yesterday, The Bibbed Wonder and I knocked out our Valentine’s Day soaps, and today we are making our St. Patrick’s Day soaps. I love new product days!

I feel like the Valentine’s Day soaps are particularly pretty this year. We brought back the fan-favorite First Kiss. It is a sweet fruity blend that smells fresh and enticing.

I also opted for a new addition to our Valentine’s Day line. I haven’t named it yet. The inspiration for the name is eluding me, but I’m sure something will come to mind.

Perhaps, we will have a contest to name the soap. We haven’t done a contest for a while. This soap is a beautiful scent that is mildly floral, with bright, fruity notes and a hint of fresh greens. Think fresh, ripe fruits and berries in a fresh green meadow. This blend reminds me of the high-end boutiques I went to when visiting Newport, Rhode Island. It’s sophisticated, fun, and fruity.

For the St. Patrick’s Day soaps, we decided upon the Irish Heather that was so popular last year. It is a pure, unadulterated Irish Heather. There are no blends, just the lovely fresh scent of Irish Heather. It is truly a lovely scent. I also included a more masculine soap that I am calling Irish Tweed. This scent is musky, fresh, and green. This scent is how I imagine Shawn Connery would have smelled.

Sigh. It is delightful.

Once the winter weather settles in, it will be nice to have something to look forward to brightening the day. I enjoy creating new soaps and scents. The Bibbed Wonder is limiting me to two new scents per month. He blathers on about man-power, storage space, and blah, blah, blah. I just want to make pretty soaps and create new scents. He’s the definition of a buzz kill. I jest, someone has to keep me reined in, or I would have a new scent every day. I also have some exciting news to share with you. However, I will save that for tomorrow’s blog post.

As always, dear reader, stay safe, be smart, look forward to fun surprises, and keep washing your hands.
