Touched By Kindness

In this world, it is easy to lose heart. There is so much going on that we can’t control, disagree with, and don’t understand. Like everyone, I go through periods where I feel discouraged. There are times I feel as though I am losing my focus, my dreams and vision will never come to fruition, and what we are doing is growing stale. It never fails; when I feel this way, you, my soap family, steps up and helps me to reassess and refocus. You give me what I need to keep moving forward.

Last week was a week filled with kindness. We are fortunate to have such wonderful supporters of our small, farm-based family business. We appreciate each and every one of you and what you bring to our world. Last week we had people reach out to us, go the extra mile, and surprise us with kindnesses we never expected.

Peter and his family have shown support for us and what we are doing from the early legs of our journey. Peter often sends us messages of support, improvement ideas, and content that makes us laugh. We trust Peter’s feedback and appreciate his candor. Late last week, Peter surprised us by sending us a Gimbal. A high-tech gadget to aid with steadying your device while you film. He told The Bibbed Wonder it would help his videos look “less Blair Witch-like.” We had a good laugh over that one. We were surprised and touched that Peter would take the time, make an effort, and use his personal resources to help us improve our videos and small business. Again, I am astounded by the good people that goats and soap have brought into our world.

Last week we also received the kindest note from Jackie from Red Arrow Farms. Jackie took the time to write us the sweetest note thanking us for what we do, praising The Bean, and sharing her appreciation for our products. Again, we were surprised and touched by the gesture of taking the time to support and encourage us.

As if just one of those kindnesses weren’t enough to make one feel special, Jenna, our beloved friend and forever employee of the year, brought us digital business cards complete with our logo she created on her Cricket and programmed to take customers to our website and link to our products. This amazing young woman took time, made a great effort, and used her own resources to gift us cutting-edge technology to improve our business. We can’t thank Jenna enough for all she has brought to our world. Our cup runneth over.

It is you, dear reader, who make what we do worthwhile. We are grateful for each and every one of you. It does not go unnoticed that you choose to continue to support us and what we do when times are tough, money is tight, and the world feels unbalanced. Thank you for all you do.

On this beautiful Monday in July, stay safe, be smart, appreciate the kindness in the world, and keep washing your hands.
