Tuesday Spotlight: Orange, Clove, Cinnamon

Today our Tuesday spotlight shines upon our classic soap Orange, Clove, Cinnamon. This warm, luscious soap, although available year-round, is perfect for fall when the temperatures drop, and there is a slight nip to the air. The scent of Orange, Clove, Cinnamon reminds me of the pomanders often made during the holiday season.

The essential oils in this soap not only smell great but have skin-loving benefits as well. Sweet orange essential oil is antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, which makes this oil an ideal addition to your skin and hair routine. Believed to increase the ability to absorb vitamin C, collagen production and blood flow are essential for anti-aging. Clove oil possesses antifungal and antimicrobial properties that many believe help heal minor skin issues such as rashes and blemishes. The chemical eugenol, present in clove oil, is also thought to help with scalp issues. Lastly, cinnamon oil is thought to increase blood flow to help with the healing of blemishes and rashes.

Although I make no medical claims, some people find relief and some improvement in their skin condition by using these oils. The very act of removing chemicals and detergent from one’s skin routine has a significant impact on skin conditions. Regardless, the combination of Orange, Clove, Cinnamon is like comfort food for your skin, and it smells fantastic.

As always, the Tuesday Spotlight is half off on the site this week. While you are visiting, check out our other fall scents for the complete fall experience. Remember, dear reader, stay safe, be smart, and use a fantastic fall soap to wash your hands.
