Today, dear reader, our Tuesday Spotlight shines on our Tea Tree and Eucalyptus Soap. Many are familiar with the benefits of tea tree essential oil. For centuries, people have used tea tree oil to help with dandruff, deter lice, treat athlete’s foot and other fungal infections, and improve acne. Tea tree oil is also believed to be antibacterial and antimicrobial and aids in healing cuts, scrapes, and insect bites. For many, tea tree essential oil is a cure-all. I have a very dear friend who has been a nurse for thirty years, and she believes wholeheartedly in the healing powers of essential oils. Eucalyptus oil is also very high in healing properties, and its heady camphor scent makes for a wonderfully strong scented soap. For centuries, eucalyptus has been used to treat coughs and colds. Eucalyptus oil is also believed to help with acne, scarring, and germ-fighting. I have shared before that when my little family has a cold, I put a bar of Tea Tree & Eucalyptus soap in the shower. Not only do I feel it helps combat the spreading of germs, but when the scent meets the steam in the shower, it also helps to clear our nasal passages. Eucalyptus is one of my favorite scents.
