Tuesday Spotlight: The Woodsman
I have decided to shine the Tuesday Spotlight upon The Woodsman. The Woodsman was created to provide a more masculine option in our lineup, but with fragrance trends moving toward more earthy/woody notes, I believe this to be more unisex today. Along with my dear friend, Beth, and my in-house perfumer, Jordan, I worked diligently to get this scent just right.
I am a serious fan of ylang ylang; although this essential oil has very feminine connotations, it is the base note of The Woodsman. Ylang Ylang has been used for centuries to treat various ailments from wounds and burns to snake bites. From an aromatherapy perspective, it is believed to be mood-enhancing. It also is believed to stimulate libido, calm, balance, and relieve anxiety. I do not make any medical claims, but I think it smells fantastic, and if I smell good, I feel good.
The ylang ylang is blended with sandalwood, another personal favorite, a hint of patchouli, and a touch of cedarwood for a beautiful earthy dry down. If you are a woodsy/earthy scent lover, this could be the scent for you. Whether you are on-trend with fragrance and fashion, love an earthy classic, or looking to try something a bit different, I suggest The Woodsman. Now is a wonderful time to explore new scent options because The Woodsman is half off on our site this week. New scents are a small, easy way to brighten one's mood and banish the winter doldrums.
As always, dear reader, stay safe, stay smart, don't be afraid to try something new, and wash your hands.
