Today our Tuesday Spotlight is on our masculine original, The Woodsman. The Woodsman is an original essential oil blend created by myself, The Bean, and Beth's friend. If it weren't for all involved's discerning noses, The Woodsman would be flat and lacking. I feel like my masculine scent options are relatively small and limited. I must admit, creating masculine blends is a challenge for me. The Bibbed Wonder doesn't have a strong opinion on what he smells like, so I feel like I lack inspiration. Eric's suggestions are often ridiculous and funny...I know, go figure. He suggests things like bacon because who doesn't love the smell of bacon? I tell him although bacon does smell good, nobody wants to walk around smelling like breakfast. He does not understand this mentality. Eric was the driving force behind the seasonal scent Smoky Magi. It was popular with some but, for the most part, not well received. My friend Leslie took a whiff and stated, "I usually take a shower to wash away this smell." Enough said. Lesson learned, don't trust The Bibbed Wonder with scent choices.
However, I digress. The Woodsman is a wonderful scent of ylang-ylang, cedarwood, a hint of patchouli, and sandalwood. I love the scent and, at times, use The Woodsman myself. It is in my rotation of favorite soaps. The deep, mysterious scent combined with our fresh raw goat's milk, nourishing oils, and dense lather makes for a great bar. If you lean more toward the earth scents or enjoy more masculine smells, this could be the bar for you. Now is a great time to try something new or stock up on a long-time favorite.
