Spicy Variations, Shout Out for Inspirations, and Philosophical Aspirations

As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life. We've been very spicy here at the farm this weekend. Have we been partaking in Mexican take-out? No, but we have been frying our brains trying to create fun, clever, and optimal savings options for our online store. I am not a marketing master. I have no background in marketing, but I have vast experience in consumerism. I love to shop. I love to give gifts. I especially love a deal. That is the well from which I draw my marketing inspiration. The Bibbed Wonder is not overly impressed with my vast experience in savings. His annoying come back to me when I announce the great deal I scored is always the same, "Wow, just think of the money you would have saved if you had kept your a$$ at home!" More recently, it has been, "Wow, just think about how much you would have saved if you stayed off the internet with access to the bank card!" Again, there are times I find him not very charming at all.

I find I not only enjoy scoring a good deal, but I also enjoy creating them for my soap family. However, it is a challenge for me to create new and interesting campaigns of savings. Being the consumer I am, I spend a lot of time "trolling" my favorite sites to see what they are doing for savings campaigns...I also like to shop while I troll. Is it really trolling if I am actually shopping? That is the new and updated version of the age-old question: if the tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? However, again I digress.

The inspiration for the rotating deals offered on the site today was from my favorite mica company, Mad Micas. I love this little company. They not only offer the highest quality natural micas for my soaps, which I may add are cruelty-free and all-natural, but they are also fun. When I receive a shipment from them, it is like Christmas. They send candy, usually Swedish fish, and fun little notes about who packed the order. I admit I am a sucker for personal and unique touches. They offered rotating deals on Black Friday, which I missed because The Bibbed Wonder made me sit this one out. Also, I have the attention span and memory of a gnat, lost focus, got involved in packing orders, and maybe a cheesy Christmas movie on IONPlus...a cheap knock off of Hallmark, and missed my window of opportunity. However, I was impressed with their idea of rotating savings. Thank you, Mad Micas, for the inspiration.

Today, we, too, are offering rotating deals throughout the day. Going on now until noon is savings for the floral lover. We are offering 25% off Almond, Lavender, Lavender Oatmeal, and Rose soaps. From noon until four, we are thinking of the kiddos. There will be 25% off Duck Fart, Coo Coo Banana...insert Gwen Stefani Holla Back Girl!... To the Moon and Back, and the Baby Bar. Lastly, from four until eight, we have the men covered...yes, men like and probably more accurately need soap too. We are offering 25% off The Woodsman, Manly Man, Orange Sandalwood, and Smoky Magi. We've got your back...and your front, sides, bottoms, and feet as well.

I hope these offers make your gift-giving a bit easier. Making you happy is our goal and number one priority. As always, dear reader, stay safe, stay smart, enjoy the savings, and of course, keep washing your hands. Now is a great time to buy some high-quality soap made with care and integrity...just saying...insert eye wink.
